How to Upgrade Xperia-Go From Gingerbread to Jellybean with Sony Mobile PC Companion

When I first use my Sony Xperia-Go, the originally android software this Smartphone use is Android 2.3 Gingerbread. it's not bad at all I think, it's smooth and I have no Problem with this OS, but this Smartphone will refuse some Apps that need higher Operation System than Gingerbread. Once I have use ICS for my older smartphone Sony Xperia Neo L, I upgrade it from Gingerbread and guess what? the phone is have a lot trouble since I upgrade it. the Apps that I use often crash in the middle of works and it suck. But I have different experience when I upgrade my Sony Xperia-Go from Gingerbread to Jellybean. My smartphone is more light and work smoothly, I think Android developer have a great works for this operation system and I have no problem with all Apps when I Install it in my Smartphone. All the Apps is run smooth unless some high definition Apps that require more RAM to run like 3d games.

First Thing to do When Upgrade Xperia-go From Gingerbread to Jellybean 

First thing to do when you upgrade xperia-go smartphone is backup all of your phone data such as phone number, or apps that you need most. for some smarthphone you need to restore to factory setting to work well when upgrading. so all of your phone data will be erase. I do not know with the other brand smartphone but if you use Sony Mobile like I do, you can Install your PC Companion software to your PC so you can know right away if your smartphone update is available to download. You can find Sony PC companion software in your smartphone but in case if your Smartphone didn't have the software, you can visit Sony Mobile official site to get the PC Companion software here.

There's several advantage from Sony Pc Companion software beside upgrading your Smartphone operation system, this software also offer to easily backup your smartphone data before you upgrade it, so your data will save in your PC. Ok this is what I do to Backup my Smartphone data before I upgrade it.

Open your Sony mobile PC companion software like the image below, then choice Backup & Restore option.

After that, you will see an option to Backup or Restore, just click Backup then PC Companion software will Backup all of your smartphone data including Phone number and all Apps. when you finished your smartphone upgrade, you can restore your data here.

Now It's Time to Upgrade Xperia-Go Smartphone to the Newest Operation System Jellybean

After you save or backup your smartphone data, back to the PC companion main menu then choice support zone. Now you see the option to updating your smartphone/tablet software. If your smartphone use the latest software, you wouldn't see the pop up that inform you the update software is available, but if your smartphone/tablet latest software is available, you will see the pop up to inform the update software.

Remember to charge your battery to minimum 80% before you upgrade it because it will need more power when upgrading the operation system. Click start to start upgrading your smartphone. then follow the PC companion software instruction. the software is about 600mb to download so make sure your internet connection is in the best perform to download the software.

You just need to follow the instruction of The PC companion software after that. remember find out how to make your phone in a flash mode when upgrading because for every type of sony smartphone, it has different method to do. you can check it in sonymobile.com to find out.
